JD grew up in the rural community of West Gore, nestled in the Rawdon Hills, Nova Scotia. Against this backdrop he learned to play guitar at a young age and continued to pursue his musical dreams from there. Today JD is credited with having five nationally charted singles on country radio. His music has taken him across Canada as well as the US playing to nearly sold out crowds everywhere he goes.



Guitarist, pianist, singer, songwriter creates an inspired blend of country, blues, folk, roots and rock. Both on record and on stage Matt keeps the music thriving, interesting and vivacious. After a dozen recordings and thirty years of touring from Cape Breton to Vancouver, Europe and across the United States he has earned the respect and loyalty of thousands of devoted fans.
Noted for their live performance, Canadian Country Rockers Rik Reese & Neon Highway release their second national single entitled, Headin’ Down to Memphis. The single is currently charting at Canadian Country radio with airplay in the Number #1 position at various stations. Nominated for a 2010 Country Recording of the Year by the East Coast Music Association for the critically acclaimed album entitled Mama Raised a Good Boy, the album also makes list of ‘Top Canadian Country albums of the Decade’ by Canadian Country Music News. Recently back from The East Coast Music Awards, have won an award for Country Album Of The Year 2010 for our latest release, “Last Of The Free Men”.Last of the Free Men is the new record by The Divorcees.
It took 14 days, 800 Beer, 24 Bottles of wine, 5 jugs of whiskey and full time chef to coax out the performance captured at the Bathouse studio on Lake Ontario, Canada.

THE DIVORCEES
Southern Vision came together about 6 years ago to play some music and have some fun. When formed Southern Vision was the combo of players from 2 bands, Southern Vision and Southern Justice, who were on the go at the time, and originally became a side project. As time passed Southern Vision morphed to what it is today. Playing a diverse mix from Waylon Jennings to John Cougar to BTO, the band likes to keep the people up and going.
