Thursday, June 20:

11:30 -  Kick-off Summerfest 2013 with the Annual Victory Credit Union BBQ!

5:00 pm - 9:00 pm  - Burger Bus on site - proceeds for Hants North Baseball Assoc.  

7:30 pm - 11:00 pm     Thursday Bluegrass Evening                featuring A New Shade Of Blue   &   Eight Wheel Drive   

         - Gates open @ 6:30  *rain / shine - under the Big Tent! (Bring your chair)   

         - Beer Garden / Burger Bus on site    *Open to all ages  (designated licensed area)

          Admission:   Adults = $10

                              18 years & under = $5

                              (Children 5 and under = free *must be accompanied by an adult)

 

 

 

 

- Main Stage Boxing - 11 Card Event   *Gates open @ 6 pm

             Jim’s Gym presents: Rumble On The River”   Sanctioned by Boxing                   Nova Scotia - rain / shine - under the Big Tent! (Bring your chair - unless buying a                   table). Click “HERE” for more information.

 

5:00 pm - 9:00 pm - Hants North Baseball Assoc. Burger Bus;   there may be some                            Farmers Market vendors set up on Friday night as well)

4:00 pm - 7:00 pm - KAMBA BBQ - by the Hotel (Kennetcook Minor Basketball Assoc.)

 

6:00 pm -  gates openMain Stage  rain / shine - under the Big Tent! (Bring your chair)

                 *All events open to all ages         $5 cover charge or $15 / family

                6:30 pm - 8:00 pm  “KARS”  Kennetcook Dance & DRAMA Group

                                                         “Special Presentation”

 

9:00 pm -  Midnight    Kennetcook Karaoke Idol”     

                    Cash prizes up for grabs & more!

                   (Gates open @ 8:30 to all ages   / Designated Licensed area)

                   $5 cover charge or $15 / family    /  Burger Bus open til close (of course it is!)

 

8:00 am -   Farmer’s Market set up – some early sellers on-site

9:00 am - 11:00 am - Pony Rides by Evangeline Trails

 

10:00 am - 1:00 pm - Sweets and Treats walk

10:00 am - 1:00 pm / (shutdown for parade) / 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

     Sports centre (adults & kids): basketball, hockey and golf competitions       

    Kids Corner: includes  Face painting by Natalie,  bean bag toss, plinko, dig for dino bones

10:00 am - Heritage & Cultural Displays (Firehall) open;  

                    Antique Tractor & Vintage Machinery Display;  

                    Psychic readings by  Karen DeVouge & Lorena Johnson (Hotel 2nd floor);

                                 Part 1 - 84th Regiment - Fashions of the 18th century civilian & military.

                                 Part 2 - Gordon Pictou, Glooscap Heritage Centre, will provide a

                         presentation, of a 13 thousand year old story and work forward to present

                         day with hands-on artifacts that can be passed around.

 

 

7:00 pm -  1:00 am  MAIN STAGE CONCERT

               4 “LIVE” Bands Featuring: Rik Reese & Neon Highway.

               Also appearing: TJ King / The Lounge Flys / Pangea

                     * Gates / Beer Garden open @ 6:00; rain or shine - under the Big Tent!

12:00 noon -   Annual Washer Toss Tournament  - [**registration begins @ 11 am]                              (Beer Garden and Burger Bus all day);

11:00 am - 2:00 pm -  Youth Photo Scavenger Hunt - Hosted by After the Bell

                       $5 a team.  Teams are 3-4 players.  Ages 11+

                    There will be an activity package prize pack for the team that can get the most

12 noon - 3:00 pm    EAST HANTS KITE DAY & PICNIC

                  This FREE event is brought to you by East Hants Recreation & Tourism at Eagles                    Pitch Eco Camping on picturesque Courthouse Hill Road for a fun afternoon of

                  kite building workshops and kite flying, supplies for kite building are provided so

                 all you need to bring is your favorite picnic snacks, and listen to live music from
